    This is referred to as Nyotaimori (there’s your Google word) and is a Japanese thing. You will see several examples of this upon searching for it.

    And yes if you look for WTF it’s harder to get better than what the Asians do. It’s no surprise that a lot of things inspired by the Asians show up here.
