    It’s now recommended that you skip the initial 2 breathes and begin chest compressions once you’ve checked for an open airway and breathing. Just fyi, don’t want you guys being misinformed.

    i have never learned so much things in 1 minute and five seconds. they teach cpr in our school but i just slept in school. i think i should watch it again and again so i wont forget it

    It is wrong. Never _ever_ do compressions before checking the heartbeat, or you may actually stop her beating heart. She didn’t check.

    She’s doing the compressions wrong. You rock on your knees to keep your arms from getting tired. She also did not check for airway obstructions and/or vomit.

    Actually you check for breathing and pulse. If they have a pulse, attempt to give rescue breathing first, and if that fails THEN see if their airway is blocked by opening their mouth and attempting to clear any blockage with your fingers. If they’re not breathing than more than likely it isn’t puke, and you can’t make them choke any worse.

    Actually, no. They don’t teach it this way anymore. No rescue breathing. This procedure was abandoned about 3 years ago in the US.

    Actually first aid organisations advise against checking for pulse, at least for lay people, because it can be hard to find and shouldn’t really change the course of action either way.

    But yes, you should check the airway to see if its blocked and remove any blockage.

    I know lots of people have said it, but she’s doing it wrong. You actually should take off all clothing on the chest area so when you’re doing compressions, you don’t stab her underwire into he chest. Which would be so painful.
    And I’ll beat you creepy people to the punch: Probably would have made a better video.
