    I gotta love bizarre music stuff like this, and though I understand Bradbury’s influence and importance (not to mention rhyming ease in a song) he is not the best Sci-Fi writer in history. I mean H.P. Lovecraft kicks his ass.

    Bradbury is the man. Get the audio book version of Something Wicked this Way Comes. It’s more an epic poem than a novel and it is better enjoyed aurally. The chick in the video, better enjoyed orally.

    He’d probably get a kick out of it… most highly intelligent people have fairly open minds and decently developed senses of humor. Plus, I have to agree with her that there are many, many great sci-fi writers (plus Richard Feynman, who was a physicist rather than a writer, but with a similar type of “omfg HOT!” mind) who are far more worthy of fangirlish adoration and hot groupies than anything seen in Hollywood. Nice to see them get a bit of it… even if she does foolishly place Bradbury over Heinlein, silly wench.

    Not the greatest but certainly the most consistently readable. Heinlein wrote a hell of a lot of awesome stories but some of his stuff was TRIPE. Asimov was probably even more prolific (same 9-to-5 work ethic iirc) but the original Foundation trilogy was pretty freakin’ dry. Bradbury’s stuff has always been readable and fun.

    There’s good, and there’s hawtly good. I really like many of Lovecraft’s stories, but there’s nothing hawt about Lovecraft. (Poe was much hawter).

    Ray Bradbury wrote a large number of sci-fi stories, usually relatively short. He was an excellent writer but I think that he was used only because he went with the tune. Isaac Asimov was definitely a better writer.

    Also, theoretically Ray Bradbury is the all the best writefags on 4chan, the benefit to him doing this would be that anonymous greatly appreciates good writing and crucifies bad writing…and although Id be more then willing to buy a new novel that he wrote, anonymously submitting to 4chan lets millions enjoy it for free and the man is already well off.

    Certainly have to agree with your taste truthinadvertising, but Skiffy is probably right…regardless of how much Heinlein’s Stranger in a Strange Land resonated with the whole early 60′s sexual revolution movement.

    (I did get a good laugh out of this video though…and she has a beautiful voice.)
