Vampire Babe of the Day: Happy Halloween everyone!

It’s unclear why vampires are involved, but it appears that they had a budget of roughly $50 to make this film. Either that, or they figured we would all be too busy looking at Pinder’s cleavage to notice she’s wearing dollar-store vampire teeth.

Caught In The Act of the Day: A Russian news program decided to run a story about strippers.

The anchorman forgot he was at work.

It’s one thing to get caught at work. It’s quite another thing to get caught when your work happens to involve appearing on live television.

I’m In The Wrong Line Of Work of the Day: The oil boom out in Williston, North Dakota has had an unexpected effect on the local stripping industry.

The throngs of young, single men and older men who have left their families behind to find work in Williston often find themselves with very little to do in their downtime. This has led the town’s two strip clubs, Whispers and Heartbreakers, to experience their own boom.

According to a CNN report, dancers can easily clear $2,000 – $3,000 a night now, whereas before the boom they were lucky to make $200. Melissa Slapnicka, co-owner of Whispers, says that the demand for stripping jobs in Williston is so high that she has been receiving applications from as far away as the Czech Republic.

Slapnicka also stated:

“We used to have to beg people to come, and now we have to turn them away because we don’t have room for all the people who want to dance…My best girls would rather dance here than in Vegas, because they make more money here.”

One of the dancers noted that jobs in Vegas had to be scheduled around events such as golf tournaments or conventions. In Williston though, there are always a plethora of men with nobody to go home to, and nothing else to do.

It should also be noted that many of these men are living in their cars because there simply is not enough housing for the influx of people looking for work.

Luckily, the strip clubs are able to handle the tremendous volume of customers, and can even help facilitate the hiring process. Since so many people, including those who hire and recruit for the oil companies, frequent these clubs, they have become an impromptu job fair. Slapnicka explained:

“Guys who get off the train will come here and say they don’t have a job, and I say sit here for three hours — and they have a job when they leave.”

Sure beats pounding the pavement.

Stripper Bender of the Day: Gary Shirley, the teen dad to Amber Portwood’s “character” on MTV’s Teen Mom, decided the best way to be an example to his little girl while mommy is away in rehab was to go on a $5000, 11-hour stripper bender.

Which he sold to TMZ.

I actually think he may not be all that bad an influence, after all.
